We might be told that wherever our heart is can become our home, but God actually wants to make His home with us. What if wherever God placed you became “home” and by being in relationship with Him, you could find solace even when your life seems a little unsteady?

“Follow your heart.” This saying is on tote bags, shirts, and coffee mugs. It’s meant to coincide with going with your gut or following your intuition. As a Christian, we have a still small voice that whispers to us, but it’s the Holy Spirit and it always goes in line with God’s will and God’s Word for our own good. Without God’s help, we are left to simply follow our emotions, and that could lead us astray in so many ways.

You’ve probably heard the phrase “there’s nothing to fear but fear itself”. There are so many scriptures talking about fear and why we shouldn’t be consumed by it. However, having a reverent fear of God is something we should keep in mind in our Christian walk. What does that really mean?

Sometimes waiting on God’s timing can seem to take too long. Have you ever wanted to “meet Him halfway” by taking things into your own hands? What if “meeting God halfway” is simply being obedient in the steps He’s called you to take in faith?

Every once in a while, I’ll share my faith with someone about something I believe God told me would come to pass, and I’ll be met with some version of “everything is not that deep” or “not everything is that spiritual”. Has this happened to you?

I’m sure you’ve been asked about your astrological sign or what your personality type is. As harmless as it seems, using the universe to define us instead of the Creator of the universe can keep us boxed into a label that limits who we were called to be.
