THIS IS HOW MEN CAN PURSUE PURITY

In this video, my HUSBAND talks about his journey through dating, being exposed to adult magazines at an early age, overcoming an addiction to adult videos, and ultimately still saving himself for marriage. If you’re trying to figure out how to navigate a journey of purity, he hopes to give you some insights on how to draw closer to God and achieve something that people label as impossible and unnecessary. ARE YOU IN LOVE OR LUST?

In this video, I talk about the difference between being in love and lust. In our modern culture, it may be hard to tell the difference because we’ve seen a lot of examples that don’t align with God’s plan for relationships and ultimately marriage. I hope to give some clarity by sharing some examples of each. Please share with anyone you think might be interested in this video. Continue reading “ARE YOU IN LOVE OR LUST?”

HOW CAN YOU SUBMIT YOUR MARRIAGE TO GOD?

In this special video, I talk about what you can do to submit your marriage to God in a biblical way. The examples we see portrayed in media send a confusing message to those wanting a healthy marriage and I’ll be breaking that down. Please share with anyone you think might be interested in this video. Continue reading “HOW CAN YOU SUBMIT YOUR MARRIAGE TO GOD?”

ARE YOU READY TO BE A WIFE?

In this video, I talk about the characteristics I believe should be developed as a woman prepares herself for marriage. Often times we’re asking God to bring our husbands, but how often to we ask “Lord, am I even ready for this responsibility?”. Please share with anyone you think might be interested in this video. My Deep Sleep

Our contributor Rajeev has graciously allowed us to feature his writing with our readers. Stay tuned for more contributors in the future! This article was originally posted on Jeevo Music.

In the beginning, God created both man and woman.  He created the man first, but was thinking of the woman at the same exact time.  Creating the man first does not mean the man is more important – as some cultures and people would like to believe.  God created the man with specific voids.  Man needed God.  Man needed to work.  Man was alone.  Man needed something more.  Man was not satisfied with what he saw – the land, the garden, the animals, the sun, the moon – these were all great – but it did not quite seem whole.

The creation story happens before “the fall.”  This means when God said “It is not good for man to be alone,” He is revealing His profound intention.  Shalom.  Peace.  Reconciliation.  Between man and woman. Continue reading “My Deep Sleep”

Is Marriage Supposed to Last Forever?

This article was originally written in June of 2015 for Project Inspired, a website that encourages Christian teenage girls all over the world. Thank you for reading!

There is news in the media almost every week about someone famous calling it quits in their relationship, but it really gives me something to ponder when one of them says, “I don’t know if people are meant to be together forever.”

I can tell you with certainty that most of my friends, Christian or not, have been plagued by doubts that their relationship would survive. When reality set in a few months into my marriage and the sound of wedding bells began to fade, I was completely thrown off by the struggles we were already facing. What happened to the “honeymoon stage” or “wedded bliss”? Continue reading “Is Marriage Supposed to Last Forever?”

Should a Christian Date a Non-Believer?

This article was originally written in October of 2015 for Project Inspired, a website that encourages Christian teenage girls all over the world. Thank you for reading!

I’ve had my fair share of being interested in guys who admittedly didn’t follow The Lord, or their relationship with Him was on rocky ground. I even had to turn down someone I had feelings for because God didn’t want me to be with him. This person then told me that if my God didn’t want me to date him, then he didn’t want anything to do with my God.

You’ll find out pretty quickly what someone’s intentions are once you mention how sold out you are for Jesus—especially when your actions back it up. It is possible that you can invite someone you’re dating to church and they do genuinely accept Jesus and become a Christian, but that’s not a reason to purposely enter into a relationship with an unbeliever. Long Distance Relationships: How We Made It Work

May the Lord watch between you and me when we are absent one from the other. (Genesis 31:49)

Years ago, I excitedly told my coworker that I was going to visit my then boyfriend (now husband), and he asked me where my boyfriend lived. I explained that he lived in California, and this elicited an eyebrow raise accompanied by a smirk that showed me he thought I was naive. He went on to say, “Long-distance relationships don’t work, but whatever floats your boat.”

Well, that relationship worked out and we’ve been married for almost six years. There is a stigma that comes with long-distance relationships, and I even promised myself I would never have one. I can tell you now with conviction that it’s possible and can be wonderful despite the disadvantages.
