The Robertsons on “I am Second”

I think my friend Mignonette Bailey has her hands in about a dozen different things, and each one is successfully curated and executed. When she started her company Sole of Brasil, the shopper in me immediately wanted to start purchasing every sandal, flat, and strappy heel she offered. Something that I’m drawn to in a entrepreneur is a heart for putting others first and using their platform to reach people in need. She is no different, and her cause is that with every purchase, Sole of Brasil makes a donation to the Dream Center’s Human Trafficking Program to house and rehabilitate women who have been rescued from traffickers. One thing is for certain, if you don’t have a strong community, your falls will be harder and trust me you will fall.  Having church, (no I don’t mean a building where people meet) has shown me so much about the love of God.

My friend Alma sent me a direct message on Instagram a few days ago and said that someone from “How 2 Date God’s Way” would be in touch with me soon to get the scoop on me and my husband’s story from how we met to what it was like to be celibate during our dating process. One of our favorite things to talk about is how God used us–imperfect and flawed humans–to be an example of how two people can go against the grain in a culture that asks “people still save themselves for marriage?!”. We know we’re not the only ones who have this testimony, but when co-founder Nneka reached out to me, I browsed her and her husband’s Instagram page and realized that I have never come across a place that highlights couples across the globe in this way.
