In 2010, I met Alisha on set as she was doing makeup for my film “He Heard My Cry“. We hit it off and I really loved her sweet and genuine personality. In 2014 we saw each other at The Ellen Degeneres show when we were both pregnant with our baby girls. Time has interweaved our storylines again and again, but the greatest moment of all was seeing the birth of her daughter’s movement Khloe Kares. I vividly remember Alisha letting all of her friends on social media know that her daughter Khloe was creating purses for homeless women filled with essentials to make them feel loved. She saw a neglect for those who live on the street, and wanted to make a difference. Fast forward and now Khloe is getting invited to radio shows, talk shows, news outlets, and being tweeted by celebrities. Who says you can’t be small and do big things? Khloe’s next project will be a toy drive. This toy drive will supply barbies and trucks to kids who are in group homes.
