Promo Tuesdays is where we highlight our brothers and sisters who are moving through ministry and small business while spreading the gospel as the Lord leads. Please support them by checking out their website and social media.
In 2010, I met Alisha on set as she was doing makeup for my film “He Heard My Cry“. We hit it off and I really loved her sweet and genuine personality. In 2014 we saw each other at The Ellen Degeneres show when we were both pregnant with our baby girls. Time has interweaved our storylines again and again, but the greatest moment of all was seeing the birth of her daughter’s movement Khloe Kares. I vividly remember Alisha letting all of her friends on social media know that her daughter Khloe was creating purses for homeless women filled with essentials to make them feel loved. She saw a neglect for those who live on the street, and wanted to make a difference. Fast forward and now Khloe is getting invited to radio shows, talk shows, news outlets, and being tweeted by celebrities. Who says you can’t be small and do big things? Khloe’s next project will be a toy drive. This toy drive will supply barbies and trucks to kids who are in group homes. Khloe understands that other kids may not have the same privileges as her so she wants to give back.
Here’s a little about her business in her own words:
“Khloe’s mission is to serve others no matter how old you are. Even at the young age of 8, Khloe is proving that her age has nothing to do with impacting the world. Khloe believes that she can help the world by giving to others, being a positive kid and shining the light that God gave her. Khloe’s first project is Kare Bags. These bags are made and designed by Khloe and her grandma. The purpose of the Kare bags is to fill the bags up with items we use on a daily basis and give them to homeless women on the streets. Items include; soap, lotion, tooth brush and tooth paste, feminine products, socks etc. Instead of giving these items in a large plastic bag Khloe thought every women should have a nice sturdy bag to put their stuff in. Khloe believes that each one of these bags is blessed with her love. She loves to be a blessing and she is thankful for all the support and all the donations.”
