Promo Tuesdays is where we highlight our brothers and sisters who are moving through ministry and small business while spreading the gospel as the Lord leads. Please support them by checking out their website and social media.
The more I learn about how our diet and lifestyle affect our health, the more grateful I am that God has placed some amazing and knowledgeable Christians in my life. Jamie Chan-Ortega of Oasis Healing Arts is one of those people. I remember having conversations with her about the misinformation that is out there about nutrition, and how our immune system will succeed or fail depending on how we feed it. I remember my younger days of surviving on fast food and thinking my Arizona Green Iced Tea was healthy. I was constantly fatigued and would catch any bug that was going around throughout the year. Thanks to friends like Jamie, my family hardly gets sick and–believe it or not–we don’t survive off of kale and green smoothies. Balance is the key to life, and I hope you check out more information that Oasis Healing Arts has to offer.
Here’s a little about her in her own words:
“Jamie Chan-Ortega, Ph.D., L.Ac, is a doctor of natural health sciences, board-certified acupuncturist, master massage therapist, certified Functional Medicine practitioner, published author, and business owner.
Her life’s work is helping people optimize and heal what she believes are the 3 pillars of health: a spirit of love, power, and a sound mind; full body movement; and nutrient-dense foods. Dr. Jamie is committed to discerning and treating the root causes of disease and seeing each of her patients as a functioning whole person – with a thought life, physical life, and spiritual life – rather than as a mere flesh-and-bones body with separate and broken parts. She has successfully treated thousands of patients presenting with symptoms of pain, inflammation, psychosocial stress, anxiety, digestive disorders, hormonal dysfunction, and unhealthy thoughts and emotions. She is sought-after for her grasp of both medical science and naturalistic approaches to treating disorders of health; her powerful hands-on healing bodywork; her warm and approachable nature; and her understanding of spiritual principles as a foundation for thought and belief, which ultimately affect physical health and bodily functioning.
Dr. Jamie is grateful to serve, teach, encourage, and empower her patients as they travel along their paths toward healing, wholeness, and the fullness of life. She currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband and two sons, Nahoa Life and Keoni Peace.”
In Love,
Kytia L’amour
